धर्म की आवश्यकता आज अधिक है

आज की परिस्थितियों में धर्म तत्त्व की मूल भावनाओं के अभिवर्द्धन और परिपोषण की जितनी अधिक आवश्यकता है, उतनी पहले कभी नहीं रही । बौद्धिक, आर्थिक और वैज्ञानिक विकास के कारण जिन सुविधा-साधनों की वृद्धि हुई है, उन्होंने मनुष्य को अधिक लालची, अधिक विलासी और साथ ही अधिक धूर्त बना दिया है, फलस्वरूप कम काम करने, अधिक लाभ उठाने और नीति-अनीति का विचार किये बिना जैसे भी स्वार्थ सिद्ध होता है, पूरा कर लेने की हविश बेतरह जाग पड़ी है । अनैतिकता का सामाजिक विरोध इसलिए समाप्त हो गया, क्योंकि इसे सर्वजनीन, स्वाभाविक रीति-नीति मान लिया गया । अपराधों पर प्रति शासकीय नियंत्रण एक तो वैसे ही प्रजातंत्र में बहुत ढीला होता है, अपराधियों को दण्ड प्रतिशोध के भय से भी मुक्ति मिल गई है, जेल आदि को सुधार गृह बनाकर अपराधियों को और भी अधिक सुविधा देने के प्रयास चलते रहते हैं, इन परिस्थितियों में एक ही रास्ता शेष रह जाता है कि भावनाओं को पुनः मानवीय अन्तःकरण में गहन श्रद्धा के रूप में प्रतिष्ठापित किया जाय ।

The Religious Approach is Needed More Today than Ever before

The requirement of promoting and nurturing the original objectives of religion is so acute today, like never before. The comforts of modern equipment available due to economic and scientific progress have made mankind greedier, lazier, and cunning at the same time. This has flared up the desire to achieve all selfish motives with minimum efforts and no consideration for ethics, morals or honesty. Resistance to corruption has almost ended, as it is accepted as a routine social practice. As such, government control over crime is slack in democracy and now criminals are free from any fear of punishment as prisons are largely being converted to reformatories trying to give more and more comforts to criminals. In this situation, the only alternative left is to revive religious feelings in human mind and re-establish them with deeper faith.
