Dear Syed Mohsin,

I appreciate you for a sincere attempt in translating the passage. One word of note. Translating literally sometimes defeat the purpose of the author, and hence translator has to review to see if any other alternate suggestion is employable (like idea in this case rather than imagination).
Pls see the effort of rishi chintan from this view.

Thanks for the time

Dear Gayatri Chintan,

Thank you very much for sending me these articles. As I said in my previosu message, this is really helping me improve my abilities in modern Hindi which is overloaded with Sanskrit terms.

In this curernt passage, though, I disagree with the translation. Teh Hindi passage begins in active personal style while teh English version is impersonal.

This is how I would translate into English:
.............................................................................
If any person, imagine something and then acts on that imagined situation without putting much thought into that action, he actually adopts a perilous path. A ssoon as an imagination raises its head, to rely on that imagination for truning it into action, is such a bad attribute that people usually are deceived and could be taken for a ride, by doing that.

Such people would do something under the influence of their imagination while wanting to do something quite different. Such sad incidents as suicide come under the class of thoughtless decisions.
................................................

Please comment.
And in the end I have a question: What does the Hindi word परिणाम mean?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Syed-Mohsin

How true!!!!
I can't believe that Acharyaji even has book on increasing memory. I am so touched by his dedication for the humanity that he has not left any stone unturned that could possible help another human being.I am eternally grateful for his wisdom and guidance.

Kalpana -dreaming per se is not bad. All big inventions/discoveries and achievements have been possible only because of dreaming. Only when a person wants to convert his dream into action, he may have to ensure that it is supported by logic, ration and not acted in haste. Most of the sucides are due to not kalpana but at the spurt of moment decision taken and if the person concerned would have taken a pause and thought it for a while , he would not have taken such a cowardice action.
